Next chapter is unlocked. From imagination, to a vision, then reality! The consistent hard work. The dedication of great service. The willingness to be uncomfortable, has paid off. The first contract has been secured. We plan to only go up from here. Brandon is the star of the show and made it happen! Congratulate my guy if you are reading this!

That day contract life hits different. I’m doing a fill in for a week but I definitely could do this everyday.

Not all days are easy or fun. So let me tel you about one part of this rough day.
One truck over heated in mulberry, ar on the drivers first day. He is an OG driver and understands the process but he was there for almost 5 hours. That same truck was scheduled for a 1230p route so I had to scramble to find another. When I found one the driver of that route had family issues to deal with and cancelled. So then a driver had to be found for that route. All that was done and then Amazon cancelled the route 44 minutes before pick up. 😤

Test my patience today huh…Gotbin the truck and my driver didn’t fill up the day before and left me on the red line. 5 stop route turned to a three stop route… but it didn’t make me get home earlier.. Went to gas station after loading to discover he too the fuel card home. 😠 Pulled up to the first stop just to wait an hour for the mail trucks to get loaded. And yes trucks.. 4 of them to be exact. Smh They messed up my plans to get some extra sleep. But you know the life of a boss can’t always be easy. 😆🙃🤣 🙏

Freight for days is getting back to normal. I had normal amount of pallets and 3 post offices stated they had been getting double what I dropped off. I didn’t get to see one of my favorite ladies that retires today. After 20 years with USPS she said this prime would be her last one. I left her a congratulations note but hate that I didn’t get to see her.

Training day was rough but in a good way. My new guy got to see a lot of the issues on day one. Sites closed at back to back locations and yall know how I feel about that. That pushed out time to get home back but almost 2 hours. 😠 Besides that it was a smooth ride and the trainee killed his “interview.” It’s looking like I got my second driver. I can see he going to have a bright future.

Prepping for prime today. Did a new route so I could talk to the post offices. Their volume increase will be enough to do single runs, and having certain information is key to knowing how long the route will take if you are planning to run multiple routes a day. With this information, I can set myself and my drivers up for a very profitable week. On another note, one of the Springfield post offices, care a lot about their employees. Pay attention to your urine color and keep your hydration up!!
