An Important Update Regarding SMBRS 2027
Many of you have probably seen the recent announcement for SMBRS 2027 and noticed that the SemiCasual name is no longer attached to the event.
Since that announcement, we have already received numerous messages from people asking about next year’s show. Because many of you understandably assumed SemiCasual would once again be involved, we feel it is important to clarify what has happened.
On August 19, 2026, we were informed by the Kiser family that they have decided to move forward with SMBRS without SemiCasual’s involvement.
The decision came as a surprise to our entire team. Within only a few hours of that conversation, dates for the 2027 event were publicly announced. Given the timing, the situation was certainly disappointing to us, especially considering the tremendous amount of time, effort, planning, promotion, work and financial investment our team put into making this year’s show what it became.
We are incredibly proud of what our team, our vendors, sponsors, truck owners, attendees, volunteers, and the trucking community accomplished together in Pigeon Forge. The overwhelming support for the show exceeded anything we could have imagined.
We also want to make something very clear so there is no confusion going forward: SemiCasual will NOT be involved with SMBRS 2027 or future SMBRS events. We will also no longer be conducting business with Kiser Trucking or the Kiser family for the foreseeable future.
While we are disappointed with how everything unfolded, we aren’t interested in dwelling on it. Instead, we’re already looking ahead.
The SemiCasual team has begun working on plans for an entirely new truck show for 2027. We already have a few VERY cool venue possibilities on the table, and our goal is simple:
Take everything we learned, everything you loved, and build something even bigger and better.
More information will be coming as those plans develop.
Most importantly, THANK YOU.
Thank you to every truck owner who brought a rig. Thank you to every vendor, sponsor, spectator, volunteer, friend, and family member who supported us. The show became what it was because of all of you, and that is something we will never forget.
2027 might look a little different… but we’re pretty excited about where SemiCasual goes from here. 👍
