Today we spotted this beautiful Van's RV-9. Kevin (owner) just purchased this plane in Las Vegas and is in-route to his home in South Carloina. They decided to stop at the Benson Airport for some cheap fuel! Kevin is being accompanied by Cadence Bomgardner who is helping Ken with the long cross-country and as safety pilot. Congratulations Kevin, safe travels!

Looking for something to do this weekend?

🚨Attention SWA customers!🚨 We are now SIX DAYS AWAY from Sky Fiesta Las Cruces!!! While air shows are an awesome thing, they do affect our operations and the arrival/departure of General Aviation flights. Please be advised there will be TFRs in place at KLRU during the following dates and times:

Friday October 24 09:30-18:30 Mountain Time

Saturday October 25 11:30-17:30 Mountain Time

Keep an eye out for NOTAMs and TFRs

The ramp space across the airport will also be impacted by air show displays/vendors overnight as well so it is advised to call ahead at 575-524-8047 to plan an arrival around the airshow! Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon

NEW HAZARD SOUTHWEST OF RYAN FIELD (KRYN) – USE CAUTION
One of our members based at KRYN reports there is a new tethered aerostat located approximately 24 nm southwest of Ryan and adjacent to the Keystone Practice Area. The NOTAM indicates the aerostat will be at location on the northern border of the Ruby 1 MOA at 3,000 ft AGL unit 25 July 2026. NOTAM text as follows:

Well, work has begun on the runway/taxiway and remains closed...... The 'workers' dont work weekends.... and the airport is still closed. How does that make since to anyone?

Benson E95 is reportedly scheduled to be closed for paving of the runway and taxiway alpha May 29th to June 6th, subject to weather, . No NOTAMs have been published as of the time of this note.
