Work continues at Oakland/Troy Airport. They are progressing at a decent pace. We all look forward to completion and to see how the new lighting looks.

So the big project has begun. The process involves removing the old Runway Lights with new state of the art LED Runway lights. It is projected to take from 30 to 40 days to complete the entire project.

✈️ Runway Lighting Project

The Oakland/Troy Airport Runway 10/28 Lighting Project begins September 2, 2025, and is expected to take about 40 days to complete, weather permitting.

🚫 During construction, the airport will be CLOSED to all fixed-wing aircraft.

🚁 Helicopter operations will continue throughout the project.
