Some progress pictures from a job we recently completed. We dug a 32’x40’ garage with 8’ and 10’6” walls and a 20’x40’ full basement foundation. We encountered stumps that were buried during the construction of the original house so we had to excavate an additional 6’ below the new foundation and remove any unsuitable material and bring in crushed rock for a solid base. We also replaced a failing retaining wall and replaced it with a poured concrete wall and pinned it to the existing foundation. Once completed we re graded the yard to create more level space and spread loam and crushed stone. Once the driveway is paved we can touch it up and it’s on to the next one. Our friends at Old Dutch Mustard Co. contacted us regarding water issues affecting their parking lot, confident in our team's ability to handle the task. Unseasonably heavy rainfall was causing a section of the parking lot to deteriorate. We excavated the unsuitable material and installed a dry well catch basin to collect and redirect surface water, preventing erosion. Upon completion of the pavement, this previously problematic area will no longer pose an issue.
