Meet Su Jeong, a proud WEST Program alumna who completed her internship in the heart of New York City - a place as diverse and dynamic as her experience! 🗽💼

💬 “The most exciting part was having the chance to meet so many different people,” Su Jeong shared. Working alongside colleagues from various cultural backgrounds, she discovered new traditions, tasted foods from around the world, and even picked up a few words from different languages 🌍🍴

Through her internship, Su Jeong’s worldview expanded in unexpected ways. “Seeing people who had left their home countries to build their own lives in the U.S. taught me that there are many possible paths in life,” she reflected - a lesson that continues to inspire her today 💫

One of her favorite cultural exchange moments was a company potluck party, where everyone brought dishes from their home countries. She tried Mexican cactus salad for the first time - and her kimchi rice balls were a big hit! 🥢❤️

🌺 We’re excited to share the journey of our amazing J-1 Trainee alumna, Selina Tran, who spent her training in Hospitality Management in beautiful Hawaii! 🏝️✨

From tasting authentic Hawaiian dishes and joining beachside BBQs 🍤🍗 to learning Polynesian culture and traditions, Selina made the most of every moment of her abroad. She explored O‘ahu, visited Sea Life Park 🐬, and even witnessed whales and dolphins up close on Kaua‘i Island -experiences she’ll cherish forever.

Her hotel training gave her hands-on skills in problem-solving and guest communication, while her time in Hawaii introduced her to American traditions for the very first time. 🎃🍂 From carving pumpkins at Halloween to enjoying her first Thanksgiving turkey and celebrating Christmas with co-workers, Selina embraced every cultural exchange with an open heart. ❤️

Selina shared: “Everything has been smooth, and people in Hawaii are so friendly. I’ve learned so much about hospitality and U.S. culture. Thank you IGE for always caring and supporting me during my program.” 🌎🤝
