Based on the incredible response and success from bike lessons in Newton during the April vacation, we will be offering lessons in Newton every week this summer based on demand. It was great to see interest and signs ups from communities outside of Newton. If you are interested in lessons and haven't filled out our interest form, please do. We will be updating those who are interested regularly with available lessons slots. No need to fill out the form if you already have done so. Thank you.

Hi Y'all. April Vacation is almost here and the weather has finally got good. Last year, I spent 2 great days in Newton teaching learn -to-bike lessons to kids during the vacation so I thought I would see if there is any interest this year . Buddy the dog looked out the window and decided the weather was good enough to finally open the season for learning to bike.

We have taught over 650 students of all ages and abilities how to bike safely and confidently since opening 2 years ago. We are super excited to make it to our 3rd year as a business and look forward to helping kids and adults discover the joy in learning to bike.

A mother reached out to me today because she wants to sign up her son for bike lessons as a Christmas present. She wanted to know if a had a gift card or something like that she could present to him on the day of....

I said "let me see what I can come up with"...

Well y'all, The 2025 Season is a wrap. We are not taking any more new students in Topsfield until next year. A happy and sad moment for sure.

It has been an amazing year of new experiences. We got to help kids with challenges we haven't seen before but figured out a way to get them confidently riding. I have laughed and cheered with them each step of the way and I will never get tired of the moment these kids realize that they are really riding a bike by themselves for the first time. I was privileged to be a part of some really special moments for families as parents saw their child succeed at something which will help them be more independent, social and healthy. There were tears.

One of the big goals I had for this year was to find a way to help more kids get the chance to learn to bike through partnerships. I am so grateful to have started the first of these with the amazing people of Swampscott through the Swampscott Recreation department. I am really excited to see this do so well, so quickly.

As we start moving into the holiday season, I want to thank everyone who has helped make this school a success. My family, my friends, my Topsfield community, parents and all the new bikers. have all played key roles in making this small bike school work.

I wish you all well and we will see you in 2026!!

We are so excited to kick off this partnership with the Town of Swampscott's Rec Department. This will allow us to help more kids gain health, indepedence and joy through biking. If you know anyone in this community who could be interested, please let them know the pirate is coming. Haha

Swampscott Recreation is excited to welcome Pirate Skool to town on September 27 & 28 for private, one-on-one bike lessons. Led by Pete, who brings over 30 years of experience teaching riders of all ages and abilities, these lessons are perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to sharpen their skills.
