Good Day to all LP Members.
We do not normally post his sort of thing, but we feel this should be an exception.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of David Stanford aka "Kook". Dave was not just a staple of Lost Peninsula, but the areas entire boating community. Dave has worked on many of the boats in LP and the surrounding area for the better part of his life. He has always been willing to help or give advise to anybody. On any given day you could find Dave working on a boat in some part of LP and I don't think he would have had it any other way. He loved the "The Lake Life" and would say "Boating is in our blood" as our family has been on these waters since our Grandfathers early days. Dave is my (Bill) first cousin and many don't know was very instrumental with the acquisition of Lost Peninsula. He was the "feet on the ground" throughout the purchase, providing information and helping with every task needed. Without Dave, We may not have been able to acquire LP, and it would likely be very different today for everybody. So please, when your sitting around that campfire, or picnic table raise a toast to Dave.
If Dave was in the middle of working on your boat, his brother and I will do what we can to get you back in the water. Please reach out to the LP Office next week and provide the details.
We ask that you keep the entire Family, and all of his friends in your prayers.
Bill, Jill, Abigail, Charlie, and our entire Awesome Staff.
