Annual “ Friends of the Airport” membership drive.
Please help support our Airport by joining “ Friends of the Airport”.
Your support helps provide the following:
* Airport liability Insurance for Otero County
* Basic maintenance for the field
* Runway safety education and signage
* Promotion of Timberon through the aviation community
* Needed changes to airspace designation at the airport
* and so much more
Friends, neighbors, and residents of Timberon. The Timberon Airfield Cooperative (TAC) needs your help. We are on our annual membership drive for friends of the airfield. Annual membership fee's are $100.00, and allows a vote on agenda items. The TAC is a non profit licensed 501C registered with the State of New Mexico.
TAC functions as an airfield management team focusing on safety, airfield maintenance, and improvement of the airfield. The Timberon Airfield is a public airfield, which means Pilots from anywhere can land and take off from here. It is a daylight operations only airport.
Safety is paramount to airfield operations. The Timberon Airfield Coop is embarking on a runway safety educational program that includes signage and mailings to property owners adjacent to the runway. An active runway is a dangerous place for people, pets and motor vehicles. Your help and participation as a “Friends of the Airport” member will not only help promote Timberon, but could help save someones life.
The Timberon Airfield Cooperative Board of directors include: Mike Massey(President), Michael DeNicola(Vice President), Billy Shields(Secretary/Treasurer), Larry Crawford( Director), Don Pitts(Director). We are looking forward to welcoming new members who would like to advance the current use of the airfield.
