I'm not hoping that my friends and others have active warrants with the police dept., but I do want my friends to see this and if you or a friend of yours fits this category, I hope that you take advantage of this program. We had a highly successful car seat fitting event just a couple of weeks ago. We were able to do that event due to the success of the first warrant amnesty program that the police department did.
Just another tidbit of knowledge; Howard County held a car seat amnesty program and collect over 200 car seats for their program. We only collected 88 the last time and have just 20 seats at the present amnesty.
We want to be able to continue holding the fitting stations and our monthly car seat class for expectant mothers, but without the community support, we won't be able to sustain them.
So, please, if you know of anyone who has a misdemeanor contempt of Court warrant for not paying fines through Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department, please share this opportunity with them. They will benefit from it as well by:
* getting their driver's license reinstated
* the warrant fee will be waived
* payment arrangement will be reset without penalty
Please go to Wal-Mart, look for the car seat pictured below and take advantage of this program.

Look at this. Young people can and do make a difference. Thank you to the Cubs Scouts that stepped up without being asked to clean up the trash left by parade attendees.

We want to thank the A&P Commission, the City of Texarkana, AR, the Arkansas hotels and restaurants, each of you that eat on the Arkansas side and the behind the scenes work from Pink Behind the Thin Blue Line and countless other volunteers that have made it possible for the 5th Annual Mardi Gras in Texarkana. Can't wait to see you there.

Just a day away from being one month shy of one of the funnest days of the year... Mardi Gras!!!! And boy do we have a great line up of cars, ATV's and jeeps, the Lil Rascals kid and pet parade, floats galore and wait for it... FOOD!!! We've had applications for other vendors as well such as: clothing, mardi gras items, sweet treats and Veteran items and any type of food that you can imagine. Our vendors and float participants work hard to make this day special, so invite your friends and come on down.

When: Saturday, February 25th
Time: Festivities begin at 10
Lil Rascals parade starts at noon
Auto Parade starts at 2:00 p.m.
Float parade starts at 3:00 p.m.

Front Street is proud to host the 5th Annual Mardi Gras Parade in Texarkana on Saturday, February 25th. Festivities begin at 10 a.m..
