We are talking and testing with all different types of trucking companies, for one main reason; DPF filters. One of Orion's customers did a four year study with six trucks, driving over 500,000 miles per truck. In this time the DPF filter was not serviced or removed. After four years they removed the filter and it had a little less than a half inch of ash build up on the filter. I have not found one company that can claim doing with their fleet, with type of results how much would this save your fleet annually?

This week we spoke with the cattle company that supplies meat to Safeway and In & Out Burger. Soon we will be following up with new testing results to move forward to testing discussions. We are going into an eight-week testing with an aggregate company that has a fleet of 84 power units hauling doubles and driving 7 million miles annually. Their fuel saving alone is very substantial. For more information call 800 215-1940

This week there has been some great activity with larger carriers, one in particular. We are starting to have discussions with a very large carrier over 2,000 power units, 300 million miles. A 7% fuel increase will save the company 4.2 million dollars off their annual fuel expenses. This does not include the other benefits such as; DPF and SCR systems, spare parts etc.

In April, we are moving forward with an eight week pilot study with the company that we had a successful test in Baltimore which resulted in discussions about testing in CA.

UPDATE; We had a very productive meeting last week with the company that we originally tested with in Baltimore MD. The company is based out of California. They are very interested in testing 4-6 vehicles in CA based on the results from the Baltimore (8.5% fuel increase in eight weeks). They have three divisions and are a nation wide company. We are looking forward to our next testing date.

We are often asked after a successful eight-week pilot program with a fuel improvement of 7-8.5% increase, (how do I make sure that my drivers will be hand dosing the Orion 5000-EL in after fueling up.

My response is that the only way to guarantee the product is being added is to install OAMS (On-board automatic metering system equipment) The equipment will automatically dose the Orion into the fuel after the drivers fills up. This is often the direction companies go with to insure their investment.

After extensive testing with two pieces of equipment we are working towards a meeting to discuss how to implement the Orion 5000-EL into their extensive fleet across the US. The fuel savings of over 8.5% is just one benefit, what the Orion does for the motor, DPF system and extending the life of the vehicles is what many are excited about. To be continued...

Update; Our ongoing testing with Power Plus is going very well and showing very substantial improvements on both pieces of equipment. The truck during an eight-week period showed a 8.33% fuel improvement, to date the results are 9.81% The 20KW generator that is running 24/7 in an eight week period -10% and to date -34% improvement. This equates to using 1/3 third less fuel per hour. We are very encouraged with these results.

We are conducting a pilot program in Baltimore with two pieces of equipment. One truck, Ford 550 diesel with 280,000 miles and John Deere four cylinder 20 KW generator with 7000 hours that runs 24/7. After eight weeks of adding The Orion 5000-EL the Ford has shown an 8% MPG increase and the generator has shown a 10% improvement.
