To celebrate the launch, families can even build their own kite at the Cherohala Skyway Visitor Center while supplies last!

A new piece of Monroe County’s story now lives in downtown Madisonville. 🎨❤️

This week, “Community Love” was officially unveiled at Houston Park — a massive 8’ x 12’ mural created from more than 600 hand-painted tiles by approximately 500 local K-2 students.

Now part of Monroe County’s growing mural trail, the installation reflects the creativity, pride, and community spirit that continue to shape experiences across our beautiful county.

Projects like this help create vibrant spaces for families, visitors, and the community to enjoy while celebrating the people and partnerships that make this area special.
