Carson & Gage traveled all the way from Texas to earn their SES ratings with us and brought a disposable camera along to capture the adventure. The result? A little collection of seaplane memories, Jones Brothers style. 📸💦

Mark your calendars, the Monster Splash Seaplane Fly-In is happening NEXT SATURDAY, October 17th, right here in Tavares during Rocktoberfest! ✈️

Seaplanes will be flying in from all over the country for a full day of competitions, including takeoff and landing challenges, and the crowd favorite PUMPKIN DROP! 🎃

You’re going to see some seriously cool aircraft on the water…
Cubs, Beavers, Caravans, Huskies, Cessnas, Air Cams, and so many more.. and we’ll be joining the action with our SeaRey! ✈️🌊

Stop by our office, say hi to the Jones Brothers, check out some merch, and book yourself a seaplane flight while you’re there! 💦✈️

Ever wondered what a run-up looks like on the water? 🔊✈️🌊

Before taking off, our CFI runs through the aircraft’s pre-takeoff checks to make sure everything is working properly and the engine is ready for flight.

In the 185, that includes bringing the engine up to 1500 RPM and checking things like the magnetos, engine instruments, and other systems before committing to the takeoff.

And yes… you can do the run-up right on the water! 🌊

The pilot positions the aircraft where there’s plenty of room and keeps the airplane controlled while running through the checks. Once everything looks and sounds right, it’s time to get moving.

Turn the sound up for that Continental 520! 🔊😎

We had a blast hanging out with the Sand Ballerz and cheering on ALL the incredible teams at the Spooky Spike Showdown right here in Tavares! 👻

Huge congratulations to all the winners 🏆 — and a BIG shoutout to every single team who showed up, competed, and brought the energy! 💪🔥

And of course, we loved seeing all the awesome vendors, local businesses, and community members who helped make this weekend so special.

This is exactly what we love about Tavares, unique events, amazing people, and a community that knows how to have a good time! We’re so proud to be part of it. 💙
