Every school day, millions of students start and end their journey on a school bus. 🚌

Approximately 20 million children ride school buses every day, making school transportation an important part of daily life for families and communities across the country.

Behind every one of those rides are drivers, transportation teams and buses working together to help students get where they need to go.

That’s a whole lot of backpacks, bus stops and miles travelled! 🎒

Did you ride the school bus growing up?

Finley knows a good ride when he sees one 🐶🚌

The big yellow bus has fans of all kinds 😂 When the school bus rolls through the neighbourhood, even the dogs want to know where everyone’s headed. Who can blame them? There’s just something about that big yellow bus!

At FTS, we’re pretty big fans of buses too.

A throwback to a Blue Bird classic! 🚌💙

The buses may have changed over the years, but the focus behind every Blue Bird has remained the same: building dependable school buses with student safety at the heart of every journey.

From generations past to the buses on the road today, it’s a name that has become instantly recognisable in student transportation.

Who remembers seeing these Blue Bird models on the road? 👀

Building the future means investing in the people who will help shape it 🚌

Blue Bird’s internship program gives students the opportunity to do far more than build their resumes. From engineering and manufacturing to marketing, HR, purchasing, data analytics and project management, interns work on meaningful projects that make a real impact across the business.

Throughout the summer, interns gain hands-on experience, learn directly from company leaders, build professional relationships and give back to the local community. Most importantly, they’re treated as valuable members of the team from day one.

For many, it can also be the first step towards a future career with Blue Bird through full-time opportunities and the Future Leadership Development Program.

Because at Blue Bird, an internship isn’t about watching from the sidelines. It’s where tomorrow’s leaders get their start 💙

4.4 billion miles. One school year. Countless journeys 🚌🇺🇸

Every year, school buses travel an incredible distance across the U.S., connecting students with their schools, communities, and opportunities.

From the first pickup of the morning to the final stop of the afternoon, that’s a whole lot of miles dedicated to getting students where they need to go.
