🇺🇸 Commemorating Memorial Day Through History, Art, & Service 🇺🇸

As we approach the Memorial Day weekend, we pause to remember the service and sacrifice of those who gave their all for our country this upcoming Monday, May 25, 2026.

Today, we’re proud to highlight "Mending the Flag II," a powerful oil painting by Gabriela Gonzalez Dellosso—currently showcased in Harmon-Meek Gallery’s special exhibition, "Our Flag in American Art 1935–2026." 🎨 Depicting a young girl in a field sewing and mending the American flag, this portrait beautifully echoes the story of Grace Wisher—the 13-year-old African American girl who, alongside Mary Pickersgill in 1813, helped create the famous Star-Spangled Banner that inspired our national anthem. Their dedication is woven into the very fabric of our nation. 🖼️

At Navis Pack & Ship, FL, we know that great art preserves our collective story—and protecting it requires absolute precision. We specialize in custom fine art packing, crating, and shipping, utilizing custom-engineered crating and tailored packaging built entirely around the fragility, size, and medium of each individual piece. 📦 Trusted by galleries, museums, and collectors alike, our experts handle everything from heavy sculptures to delicate fine art canvases with museum-quality care and full white-glove delivery, ensuring America’s cultural heritage is safely preserved for generations to come. 🚚
Thank you to Gabriela Gonzalez Dellosso and to Harmon-Meek Gallery for this vivid reminder of how every stitch, every gesture, and every act of remembrance continues to secure our heritage.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend from all of us at Navis Pack & Ship of Tampa, FL.

So much detail. Must be seen in person.
