Today, April 6, 2026, Legacy Moving Services came through on a last-minute safe pickup and delivery in Orlando, Florida and the timing couldn’t have worked out better.

A customer called needing a safe picked up from Academy Sports + Outdoors, and luckily, we were already working in the Orlando area. Without hesitation, we coordinated the pickup and headed straight over to get the job done the same day.

As always, we started with a full inspection at the store, checking the safe for any scratches, dents, or shipping damage before loading. Once everything looked perfect, we carefully loaded it onto our fully equipped safe-moving truck, using our liftgate, padding, straps, and protective materials to secure it for transport.

When we arrived at the customer’s home, we took the extra steps that set us apart. We laid down floor protection to safeguard the home, then carefully moved the safe inside using controlled techniques to avoid any damage to floors, walls, or doorways.

After placing the safe exactly where the customer wanted it, we cleaned the bottom and installed heavy-duty felt pads to protect the flooring and prevent long-term wear. The customer was thrilled to have it handled quickly, safely, and professionally, all in the same day.

Today, April 5, 2026, on Easter Sunday, Legacy Moving Services got a call for an emergency move in Addison, Texas and we didn’t hesitate.

A customer had attempted to move a large, heavy embroidery machine upstairs on their own, and it became stuck in the stairwell. At that point, the situation turned stressful and risky, and that’s when our Texas crew stepped in to help.

We showed up ready to work.

This was not an easy move. The machine had to be carefully repositioned, lifted, and hand-carried upstairs through a tight stairwell without causing damage to the walls, stairs, or the equipment itself. With the right experience, teamwork, and controlled techniques, our crew safely maneuvered the machine step by step until we got it exactly where it needed to be.

But we didn’t stop there.

Once upstairs, we helped position and set up the embroidery machine so the customer could get back to using it without any additional stress. That’s what we do, we don’t just move items, we help people solve problems.

Grandfather clocks are not just heavy, they are delicate, precise instruments with many internal components that must be handled correctly. At Legacy Moving Services, we specialize in moving these clocks the right way, whether it’s across the room, across town, or across the state.

Before any move begins, we properly prepare the clock. This includes carefully removing the weights, finial, pendulum, and any side glass panels or delicate pieces . Each component is handled with care and packed securely to prevent damage.

As an added precaution, we place controlled tension on the pulleys and weight bands to keep everything properly aligned during transport. Inside the clock, we fill the cabinet with thick, soft moving blankets to prevent any internal shifting or movement.

Once the interior is secure, we wrap the exterior of the clock with protective moving pads and shrink wrap, ensuring the finish is protected from scratches or damage. The clock is then carefully strapped and secured inside our moving truck for safe transport.
