Thank you Darrell Smith and DL Smith Ignites for choosing The Leaders Institute to be a part of your pre-school-year Wellness and Team Building Program for the staff and faculty at Burney Elementary School. I have never been a part of a more meaningful program, or worked with a more deserving group.

Darrell Smith's inspirational key note on wellness and self-care fit perfectly with our Amazing Builders team building activity, which emphasizes good communication and team work, and also the power of laughter and having fun. Something everyone in this group clearly appreciated (and needed) with the new school year just around the corner.

And then there was the donation of 15 new backpacks, filled with school supplies, for some deserving Burney students, which was just icing on the cake!

Hi Everyone, I just launched a Kickstarter for my children’s book "The Magical Forest"! While not technically an ESL work, rhyming books are a great way to teach children English, writing, and self expression, so it fits well with my other projects.

"The Magical Forest" is a fairy tale about the magic of Nature, and forests in particular, and it's also environmentally friendly: I'm using eco-friendly paper and buying carbon offsets to cover its shipping footprint. It's key themes are Nature, Courage, and Redemption.
