Road closures US-395 is CLOSED at the Nevada state line to North Constantia Road. HWY 70 is closed to east of HWY 49 (east of Portola Ca). Closure due to fire activity from the Bug Fire. Please do not use Doyle grade or any other back roads to get home.

Today, May 15, 2026, is the 37th Annual Junior Fishing Derby from 5:20 AM to 3:00 PM.
With fishing activities occurring all along the Susan River.

Please use extra caution while driving in the area, as there will be many children and families walking throughout the community during this event. Slow down, stay alert, and watch for pedestrians to help keep everyone safe.

We hope all participants have a fun and memorable day at the derby! 🐟

🤠 The cattle are returning home to their Summer pastures, with that, we want to remind you:
🐢 Slow Down: In open range areas.
🐮Assume Livestock are Present: Even if you don’t see a sign, assume you are in an open range area when driving through rural areas.
🌙Be Extra Cautious at Night: Black or dark-colored livestock can be nearly invisible in low-light conditions.
🔦Signal Other Drivers: If you see animals near the road, flash your lights to warn oncoming motorists to slow down.
