Earlier this morning, Sugar Land Regional Airport had the privilege of joining our community and first responders for the 3rd Annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Constellation Field.

Together, we climbed 2,200 steps— the equivalent of 110 stories—to honor and recreate the journey made by first responders as they climbed the World Trade Center twin towers during their rescue efforts on September 11, 2001.

We climb to honor. We climb to remember. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

25 years ago, first responders ran toward danger while countless others faced unimaginable loss.

Today, we remember the lives lost, honor the courage and sacrifice of those who responded, and remember the lasting impact of Sept. 11.

We will never forget.

A year ago today, we had the honor of taking part in celebrating one of Angel Flight South Central’s amazing volunteer pilots, Hogan Brian Brooks for completing his 1,000th Angel Flight mission. 🙌

What is Angel Flight? Angel Flight is an organization of volunteer pilots and other individuals who use their personal resources to provide free air transportation to individuals and health care organizations with legitimate, charitable, medically related needs.

With the help of the Sugar Land Fire Department, Brooks was welcomed to SGR with a water cannon salute as he taxied onto our ramp.

Friends, family, airport staff, AFSC team members, Mayor Carol McCutcheon, and local media gathered to celebrate this incredible achievement.

Brooks’ 1,000th mission was not only a remarkable personal milestone—it also marked the most Angel Flight missions completed in the shortest amount of time by any volunteer pilot in the organization’s history.

We’re honored to have been part of this unforgettable moment and grateful for Hogan’s continued dedication to helping others through the gift of flight. 🛩️💙

🐾 Cleared for Takeoff: Finding Forever Homes! ✈️🐶

Sugar Land Animal Services is teaming up with the Sugar Land Regional Airport to give our shelter pets a special spotlight!

Pups like the lovely Ellie Mae are visiting the airport grounds to greet pilots, passengers, and staff while spreading the word about the life-changing impact of adoption. 💙

A huge thank you to the team at Sugar Land Regional Airport for opening their doors, welcoming our furry friends, and helping us connect pets with their future families!

CAUGHT.

It's the Airport Masked Bandit! 🦝

This little visitor may be cute, but wildlife around airports can create safety concerns for aircraft and operations. Our Operations team monitors the many species around KSGR to help keep the airfield safe.

So yes, we caught the Airport Masked Bandit — on camera! 📸

What wildlife have you spotted lately?

✈️ KSGR is more than just an airport—it’s a place where memories take flight.

For Ms. Tiffany, KSGR has been part of her family’s story for generations. She grew up visiting the airport as a child, where her grandfather, a former pilot, would fly in and out.

Now, she’s creating new memories here with her beautiful children— building a tradition that they will cherish, just as she did growing up.

We love hearing stories like Tiffany’s. They remind us that our airport is about so much more than just airplanes. It’s about people, family, memories, and community. ❤️
