CMR Products of Harrisville, Pa. is currently decalling a double stack and a ACF-designe, RBOX-type boxcar in the Virginia Tech colors first chosen for MAGC, and while the newer blue scheme is nice, we'll first see HO models in the VT scheme before we go to the blue scheme...... 'should have the cars by Christmas 2020.

An update about "MAGC" railcars: three+ are being painted by CMR Products of Harrisville, Pa. into the Virginia-Tech colors' paint scheme (orange and maroon): one of the 2 stack car flats previously seen here, and 2 or so RBOX-type boxcars..... 'should be ready to be photographed on layouts by Thanksgiving, if not before.

I was there when Nathan Hall designed Travis's first, initial idea for his freelance RR, the Mid Atlantic & Gulf Coast. We were sitting in Travis's vehicle at N. Collier Yard, railfanning ... and in between trains, Travis and Nathan came up with some terrific drawings of what Travis envisioned for his pike. It's been updated since then, however that first design captured my imagination ... and now it's being made into a reality. Here is the DESIGN, followed by a MODEL of that design -- and note the model is shown PRIOR TO having markings added; I'll have decals made up for the car, and will have an appropriate car # on it. I'll be crafting models of several types of cars with Travis's RR name, but, here's the FIRST in Travis's private RR car fleet: it's debut right out of the shops complex (shown on the "CB&W" RR in Grafton, Va.) --- a single-unit "well car," for double-stack containers:

I just acquired a pair of HO Scale, single-well stack cars painted medium blue and lettered for CSXT. They are currently planned for stripping of the paint and REPAINTING/decalling for MAGC .... using the Virginia Tech paint scheme shown in the image created by Nathan Hall of an "artists rendering" of one of those on this page. I'll let you know how it turns out later this year when it's ready to roll. (SEE ADDED COMMENT FOR IMAGE)

I like these paint schemes..... both the blue one AND the burgonde/yellow one inspired by Virginia Tech's colors.
