Good Saturday Evening all IaH Boat passengers. It’s been a while, but boy this coming weather system looks to be a doozy. We are looking at winds coming at us starting early Monday morning 25-30, gusting to 45 from the southeast. This builds throughout Monday, and then switches to the South in the evening hours ramping up to 35-40, gusting to 50. Tuesday sees SW winds all day at 35-45, gusting to 55, turning West late Tuesday afternoon, dropping down a bit. The forecast is giving 17-20 seas as the winds climb Monday into Tuesday, so the Southern end of IaH will be a sight to behold. We are planning on Monday, and Tuesday, March 16, and 17th, 2026 being total washes for all trips. Our plan to help with getting out to the island, or off from the island is to run a mid day trip tomorrow, Sunday March 15th, 2026, leaving Stonington at 11:30am, and IaH at 12:15pm. Please message me at 479-1428 if you plan on taking the boat Sunday. I will know whom to expect. Thanks.

Good morning IaH passengers. Due to extreme low tides, and strong SW winds we will be running the 3:30/4:15pm trip early today. The new trip times will be at 2:30pm from Stonington, and 3:15pm from IaH. Thanks

Hi all IaH passengers. There will be a very impromptu trip leaving Stonington to go to IaH at 2pm today. It’s leaving IaH at 2:30 to return. Hope this helps folks. Sorry for the short notice, but we got a sort of emergency call to pick up from the Island asap.

Good afternoon all IaHBS riders. Looking a head to this coming Monday, February 23rd, it looks pretty nasty. Lots of East to North East winds gusting to 60…and snow. That being said, we will be planning on no trips Monday. We will make the final call tomorrow, if something changes for the better will let you know by tomorrow afternoon. Thanks

Good afternoon IaH. After careful consideration of the coming weather, we are preemptively canceling all trips on Monday, January 26th, 2026. We understand people need to get to or from the island before things get wild, so we are going to be running one trip tomorrow, Sunday, Jan 25th, at 11am from Stonington, and departing at 12 noon from IaH. Please call my cell # if there’s an emergency, and we will do our best to mobilize if possible. 207-479-1428. Sharpen your shovels and plows, and stay warm and safe.

Good Saturday morning folks. Due to combo of low tide, higher than expected NW winds, and frigidly cold temps this morning, there will be a two hour delay with the 7:8am morning trip. We will be leaving Stonington at 9am and IaH at 10am. Very sorry for this delay, but it prevents us from having to go around Kimbals head on a very rough and potentially icy day. Thanks for your understanding.

Good evening IaHBS passengers. After looking at tomorrow’s (Friday, January 16, 2026) weather again, we will in fact only be running the 7/8am trip, and then canceling the 3:30/4:15pm trip. Our apologies for the disruption, but Mother Nature is at it again.

Good morning IaHBS travelers. Looking at tomorrow’s (Friday)weather, it looks to be snotty. We are keeping an eye on this westerly, and will have any cancellations figured out by this afternoon. Looks to be doable for a 7/8am trip, but questionable for the 3:30/4:15pm. Will update this afternoon, but you might want to plan your travel for today if Saturday if possible. Thanks

Looking at tomorrow’s forecast, we have more wind whipping up our way. It looks to be blowing all day out of the west at 25-30knots gusting to 40+. Due to these conditions, We will only be running one trip tomorrow, on Tuesday, December 30th, 2026 at 3:30/4:15pm. Please call the office with comments/questions. Thanks 367-6516
