Eight days. Budapest to Vilshofen with stops in between that Kate and I’ve been wanting to do ourselves for years too.

Here’s what our “Sail With Us” group cruise on the Danube River actually looks like — day by day:

📍Day 1 — Board the AmaLea in Budapest 
📍Day 2 — Both sides of Budapest: Castle District, Parliament, Heroes’ Square, and the Shoes on the Danube Bank memorial 
📍Day 3 — Bratislava, the Coronation City of Kings 
📍Day 4 — Vienna: the Opera House, the Imperial Palace, and free time to wander 
📍Day 5 — The Wachau Valley, wine and apricots, Melk Abbey, and a private Greinburg Castle visit 
📍Day 6 — Linz with optional full-day trips to Salzburg or Český Krumlov 
📍Day 7 — Passau + an exclusive Oktoberfest celebration in Vilshofen 
📍Day 8 — Disembark (or extend into Prague, Budapest, or wherever calls you)

This is the trip Kate and I have been dreaming of sharing with a small group of travelers who want the REAL European experience — not a rushed tour, not a giant ship, not a checklist. Just eight days of great cities, beautiful scenery, incredible history, and food and wine you won’t forget.
