Michigan drivers: would you get all three right? 🚌

School Bus Safety Week starts today, and this quick swipe could help protect someone's school morning.

Overhead yellow lights mean prepare to stop. When a stopped bus displays flashing red lights, stop at least 20 feet away and remain stopped until the bus moves or the signals turn off. Check that it is safe before proceeding.

A painted center turn lane does not create a divided highway. The opposite-direction exception requires a physical divider, and it does not apply where a crosswalk or pedestrian walkway is present.

Before you say “have a good day,” go over these 3 bus-stop reminders. 🚌💙

School mornings get busy. A quick check-in with your child can help keep safety part of the routine:

⏰ Arrive at the bus stop at least 5 minutes early.
👟 Wait at least 10 feet back from the curb.
✋ Approach only after the bus comes to a complete stop and the driver signals.

Save this for tomorrow’s morning rush, and share it with another bus parent.
