How much does it cost to ride the Loop Trolley? Riding the Loop Trolley is free for all ages during the 3-month pilot period. Loop Trolley operations will officially restart on August 4 as part of a pilot program which runs from August 4 through October 30, 2022. Importa

During the pilot program, the Loop Trolley will only operate on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. August 4 through October 30. How often will the Loop Trolley run? A round trip on the Trolley will take approximately 60 minutes and that includes a 10-minute operator break at each end of the route – at the Missouri History Museum and the University City Library. Heavy traffic conditions will impact trip times. Where does the Trolley go? The Trolley route is 2.2 miles long. There are 10 stops with six of those Trolley stops located on Delmar Boulevard, three Trolley stops on DeBaliviere and one stop at the Missouri History Museum. Look for the Loop Trolley signs at each stop along the route from the University City Library to the west and the Missouri History Museum to the east. How many Trolley cars will be running on the route? Only one Trolley will be in service with a second Trolley serving as the spare, if needed. I have mobility issues and use a motorized wheelchair. Can I ride the Trolley? Yes. The trolley has a wheelchair lift and is ADA compliant. Who is running the Loop Trolley now? As an established transit provider, Bi-State Development was asked by regional leadership to take over Trolley operations to avoid a default on federal funding that was used to start up the Trolley operation several years ago. Bi-State Development is committed to getting the Trolley system running again to establish a continuity of service and to make sure it is a safe operation. Can I bring my dog on the Trolley? 5/21/25 The devastation from Friday’s severe weather continues to impact residents and businesses and will for days to come. We are not able to operate yet on the route so the Loop Trolley will NOT be running tomorrow, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, May 22-25. We will have to see how the storm cleanup, power restoration, and traffic signal repairs progress before next Thursday, May 29.
Our partners at Ameren and the City of St. Louis have been working around the clock since the deadly storm hit. We appreciate their unwavering dedication to repair and restore services.

5/18/25 No Loop Trolly again today due to the impact of Friday’s tornado and severe storms. Hopefully we will be able to get back up and running on Thursday.

5/17/25 9 a.m. We are not able to run the Loop Trolley today due to a tree and storm debris on the tracks along the route and power outages that impact trolley operations. Not sure yet about tomorrow. We’ll update you tomorrow morning.

5/16/25: 6 p.m. The power outage created by the severe weather this afternoon will keep us from resumimg operations today. We will see what tomorrow brings. If we are able to power up the trolley, we will need to see if any storm debris or downed power lines are blocking the route.

5/16/25 2:45 p.m.: Due to severe weather, tornado sirens sounding, and power outages, the Loop Trolley is not currently running. If it is safe to resume operations later today, we will let you know. Safety first!

5/3/25 5:05 p.m. With the rain continuing for the next few hours, we will not be resuming operations today. Hope you see on the Loop Trolley route tomorrow, if the weather cooperates.

Clang. Clang. We are back in action! Today is the first day of the 2025 season and tonight is the first Twilight Thursday concert of the month at the Missouri History Museum! We are extending trolley operations on the first four Thursdays of May to get you to and from the concert so hop on board! Park your car and catch the trolley tonight (May 1) at 6:30 the Hamilton Station located at 5875 Delmar Blvd. The trolley leaves the Missouri History Museum after the concert between 8-8:15 p.m.

We are gearing up for the 2025 Loop Trolley season which kicks off a week from today on May 1! Today, tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday (April 24-27) between 11 a.m. & 7 p.m., the Loop Trolley will be out on the route for operator training. (Sorry no rides allowed during training.) Watch out for the trolley — be careful when crossing the street, driving in traffic with the trolley, and please park inside the designated parking space lines along the route or your car could be towed.

Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for your support this season. Ridership was up more than 40% in 2024! Now that the season ended on Oct. 27, we will be busy over the winter taking care of maintenance work on the trolley cars and completing the required inspections.
We invite you to hop on board next spring or summer when we are back in action for the 2025 season.

Perfect weather this weekend (Oct. 19 & 20) to take a ride on the Loop Trolley! The Trolley runs until 7 tonight and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday.
Don’t miss out. The Loop Trolley season is almost over. The last day to ride this year is Sunday, Oct. 27.
