At Biewer, it’s our people who set the bar—and Robert Locke is a perfect example of the dedication that keeps our operations running strong.

Since joining us in November 2021, Robert has been the kind of teammate you can always count on. He steps up without hesitation: responding to emergencies, taking on overtime, covering holidays, and even volunteering to support another short-staffed facility before anyone asked. That’s the definition of a team-first mindset.

Robert’s consistency, dependability, and willingness to go the extra mile reflect the culture we strive to build every day—one where people support each other, take pride in their work, and lead by example. Our accounting team took learning on the road with visits to Biewer Sawmill - McBain and Biewer Lumber - Lansing. For many—Jessica, Jaye, Emily, and Andrea—it was a first look at a mill and treating facility, and the experience sparked great conversations and curiosity.

Huge thanks to our on-site hosts, Kris Demel and Nick Biewer and their teams, for walking the accounting team through the full manufacturing process and making the visit hands-on and meaningful. And shout-out to Wes Windover and Katie Putvin for the bonus crash course on northern Michigan logging.

Experiences like this remind us: when teams connect, we grow stronger together.
