Sicilian Encounters

Sicilian Encounters Discover Sicily like a local. We bring American families and friends together with our Sicilian family and friends.

Sicilian Encounters helps American tourists discover Sicily like a local, introducing the historic beauty, food, and agriculture of Sicilian life. We provide travel advising and booking services to those interested in immersing themselves in Sicilian culture. Our knowledge of the Agrigento region of Sicily, connections within the Montevago community, and unique group tour itineraries help us stand apart from other travel group experiences.

They transported snow from the mountains and sold it, especially during the warmer months. The snow was then used to create cold drinks and desserts. It is one of the ancestors of the granita we know today.
