Traveling to Europe soon and wondering about their new Entry Exit System (EES)?

I was registered in Munich on December 27th on my way to Florence, but I've yet to experience it practically, and I've been back several times since then.

•What are your expectations when you travel to a different country?
•Do you research and/or learn anything about local customs, norms, and traditions?
•Do you try to learn a few basic words if you're going to a country where they speak a different language than yours (hello, thank you, you're welcome, please)?
•Do you expect and/or think things will be like they are "back home"? If so, why?

This is an incorrect statement from . The Federal government doesn't cancel flights because they don't own the planes; the airlines are canceling flights at the request of the FAA for safety (and political) reasons.

Additionally, air traffic controller staffing issues have been going on for decades, so saying that they are "shutdown-induced" is not entirely a true statement. It's not helping, but it's also nothing new.
