Congratulations June!

Employee spotlight! Today we recognize June Cadd who is celebrating 45 years of service with HDT!

June started in 1977 as a Clerk/Typist in the Quality Control department in the Solon Manufacturing facility and held that position for her first ten years with the company. She also worked as a QC Clerk before taking on roles in Production Control, Purchasing Support and Accounting. In 2009, June joined the HR Team as an HR Assistant and has been in this current role for seventeen years now.

June is a loving mom to her fur baby, Sandi, a Husky mix. She loves gardening, bowling, hiking, walking, and reading. June has volunteered with The Lions Club for many years, and has participated in the Police Citizen Academy four times in the cities of Solon, Streetsboro, and Bainbridge.

Fun facts about June… She has been given the nickname “Bulldog” because she takes her role in the security of HDT Global very seriously, and she wears this nickname proudly.
She loves all food (with the exception of grapefruit) especially BBQ and steak.

Prior to HDT, June worked for the City of Solon in the Finance department. During her tenure at HDT, June has earned her Associates degree in Business and Accounting (2002), all while holding part time jobs with a drug store, K-mart, and Target. June stays very busy!

One of June’s favorite sayings, “Enjoy the little things in life.”

HDT would like to recognize Kathy Turner, and it is no secret as to why! Kathy is a Material Handler at our Florence, KY facility and has been employed over 17 years, since November 2004. She is an exemplary member of the team who sets the bar high in her efficiency, accuracy, and willingness to step up and propose solutions and improvements. Kathy goes out of her way to be helpful, acts with integrity, and maintains a positive attitude.

Kathy is a fun and energetic person who is always thinking of others and trying to make their day better. She is a great asset to our team!

Thank you, Kathy, for your dedication, positive attitude, and many years of service!

Shout out to Coi Brown and Tyler Napoleon in our Huntsville facility for their record-breaking day! They completed the integration of six AirBeam® shelters in a single shift, setting a new daily record.

HDT’s AirBeam shelters are constructed out of air-inflated “beams” and include an integrated interior liner, exterior shell, floor, end walls, plenum and anchor straps. These components are assembled and tested in our plant so that when deployed in the field, warfighters simply unroll and spread out the flattened shelter, anchor it to the ground and allow an air compressor to inflate the structure. Most AirBeam shelters can be set-up by two or four personnel, freeing soldiers to perform other tasks associated with making camp.
