Please let your friends and family know that there’s a scam going around on facebook marketplace for firewood delivery. The scammers are using a sponsored ad position(see the picture below with the orange firewood processor thats says “sponsored”). Which is very deceptive because you wouldn’t expect a scam to use a paid ad. When you reach out to them they will give you a bogus email to contact. They will try and get your card information and when you don’t give it to them they offer a bogus PayPal account to pay. They are charging $150.00 and they are using real addresses from businesses like ours. You pay but they never deliver the firewood and you may have compromised your payment information.

Our best advice: don’t pay anyone until you have the firewood in your driveway. And don’t give your payment information to anyone online that you don’t know.

Also, the picture below is not the only one they are using to scam people so don’t rely on it is the only indicator.
