🎉 Exciting news for seniors 60+! 🎉

Staring Monday, October 19th 🗓

Monroe Randolph Transit District (MRTD) is excited to announce that SENIORS RIDE FREE! 🚌

Thanks to funding through the Rural Transformative Community Grant, in coordination with AgeSmart, adults age 60 and older can now enjoy FREE transportation through MRTD!

Whether you're heading to a doctor's appointment, running errands, shopping, or simply getting out and about, we're here to help you get where you need to go!

✅ Who qualifies? Adults age 60 and older!

📅 How long? Free rides are available for a limited time, while grant funding lasts. Availability is limited and subject to funding.

📞 Ready to ride? Call 618-443-9087 to schedule your transportation!

Please note: Medicaid-covered trips will continue to be billed through Medicaid.

And what better birthday gift than leading his softball team to a 2nd Place finish at the State Tournament last week! 🥎🏆 Talk about a birthday week worth celebrating!

Help us wish him a fantastic birthday and congratulate him and his team on an incredible accomplishment. We’re lucky to have someone who gives so much to our community, both at the office and on the field!

A farewell to an old Chester landmark. 🌉

This morning, the old Chester bridge came down—but not before giving the community one last chance to gather, watch, and say goodbye.

Thank you, Chester, for letting us be there. MRTD was proud to help shuttle people to the riverfront so they could be part of the moment and watch a piece of Chester history come to a close.

MRTD’s Chester Loop will not operate on Monday, September 28 due to the scheduled bridge demolition.

Regular Chester Loop service will resume on Tuesday, September 29.
