🛰 LET’S GO! Spacecraft with Belarus' woman cosmonaut on board scheduled for launch on 21 March
The manned spacecraft Soyuz MS-25 is scheduled to fly to the International Space Station (ISS) on 21 March. The crew will include Belarus’ Marina Vasilevskaya (Anastasia Lenkova as backup), the Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky and the NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson.
Marina Vasilevskaya’s and Oleg Novitsky’s flight is supposed to last for 12 days. They will get back to Earth on board the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft, which is now docked at the ISS, together with the USA’s Loral O’Hara.
The emblem is shaped like a shield, which signifies victory and the accomplishment of goals. Last names of the crew members are written on the emblem alongside state flags of the states participating in the flight – Russia, Belarus, and the USA – in the form of a triangle, which signifies unity of the 21st expedition to the International Space Station. Roscosmos’ logo is in the center of the emblem in addition to a picture of the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft on its journey to the ISS. Mount Kazbek is at the bottom of the emblem. Kazbek is the crew’s call sign.
