It’s been some time since I’ve posted here. To be brief, I’ll get right to what we have to share now:
— southport Island Marine has been sold to the Bristol Marine Group. This great outfit operates three other yards, one in RI, one in MA, the other is Boothbay Harbor ShIpyard here in BBH. They are capable, experienced and will continue to provide the great service that we became known for.
— the boatbuilding part of what we did has NOT been sold. That is, I still own the molds to Southport 30, Southport 21, and Handy Billy 21 powerboats, and 20 ft Celebrity class sloop.
— my new company Grayling Marine Services now owns these molds.
— other activities of my new company, Grayling Marine Services: captained Charters on my beautiful Southport 30, rental of out Handy Billy 21, and consulting services such as captain for hire (deliveries, teaching, etc.), boat care advice and supervision.

Exciting news is that there are 2 Southport 30s now under construction for the first time in years, and I can tell you more about those projects!! They are Outboard versions!
