1. Keep their routine normal: meals and walks at the usual times.
2. Pack a dog bag: food, water, bowls, leash, meds, treats, and favorite toy.
3. Give them a safe space: keep them away from the moving chaos and open doors.
4. Update their tags/microchip: make sure your new address and phone number are current.
5. Transport them safely: use a crate, carrier, or secured harness in the vehicle.
6. Bring familiar items: their bed, blanket, and toys can make the new place feel familiar.
7. Let them explore slowly: give them time to adjust to their new home and neighborhood.
