📦🍽️ One of the biggest concerns during any move is making sure fragile items like dishes, glassware, and family heirlooms arrive safely at your new home. The key is taking a little extra time during the packing process.
Start by wrapping each item individually with packing paper, bubble wrap, or soft linens. Plates are best packed vertically, like records, rather than stacked flat. Use sturdy boxes designed for fragile items whenever possible, and place heavier pieces at the bottom with lighter items on top. Fill all empty spaces with packing material to prevent shifting during transport.
Be sure to clearly label every box as "Fragile" and note which side should remain upright. If you have especially valuable or sentimental items, consider transporting them separately for added peace of mind.
A few extra minutes spent packing carefully can help ensure your treasured belongings make the journey safely and arrive ready to use in your new home.
