Good morning , all. I previously posted asking people to consider testing their lawnmowers over the weekend to see if they will be ready for the season. We suggested that if people do need service on their lawnmowers to get them in a little earlier this year. If you wait until May, you WILL regret it. That said, there is another good reason to get the mowers in early: Rates are going up this year. Yeah, I know. Prices are skyrocketing and simply enough if we do not raise rates we will not be here next year. So let's get right to it.
Right now our " Full service on a lawn tractor" costs 235.00 and includes the tune up parts. These are: either one or two spark plugs, an air filter, pre filter, fuel filter, oil filter, oil. I will post a paper telling all the things we do when performing a service on a lawn tractor. We check everything!
We called around to the other local shops and inquired about prices for a lawn tractor service. Here's what we found out: Fleurys, Taplin, Boyden, and Taft all gave a base price, but could, or would not tell us what it will cost to service a single cylinder lawn tractor in good shape, total cost. They all gave a price and added "plus parts". When pressed for a total none would say. The prices were ranging from 180.00 plus parts to 210.00 plus parts. So we worked up an estimate for a service on a single cylinder and on a twin cylinder machine. we came up with, on the low end around 266.00 up to over 300.00 for some of the twin cylinders. You will not know until the machine is already there and being worked on.
Our rate right now is 235.00, INCLUDING parts! Single or twin. This rate will be increasing on March 15TH to 250.00, INCLUDING PARTS! As you can see, this turns out to be a lower total cost, even though it may seem higher at first. Also with our way of pricing you know how. much it will cost BEFORE you bring it in. As stated before, we are slow now, and it would be a great time to get the mower serviced. Then when the first mowing is at hand you will be ready. We are hoping for a great season this year. We are ready, we spent the last month or two getting ready: increased inventory, new building, new truck and trailer. It's been too slow. Let's change that, and get off to a good season on the right foot!!

Hello everyone. Snow thrower season is coming up quickly. Please go out and try your machine to see if all works as it should. If not, you have plenty of time to get it repaired BEFORE the snow flies. If you wait until the snow is upon us and need repairs, you're already behind. We get most of our work on the first storm of the season. This spring we were 4-5 weeks out because we took in 70-80 machines in two weeks. Why? because people wait until the grass needs to be cut before they pull out the old lawn mower. And when it does not start they call someone like us to repair it for them. We get slammed all at once! Also this year costs are going to rise on the first of October. From 69.00 plus parts for a service on a snow thrower up to 99.99 plus parts. We really have to. Our cost was low to begin with and the cost of everything is just through the roof. Many of our costs will be going up October first. If you call before October first, You can take advantage of the lower prices. But after October first the cost will be 99.99 plus parts for a snow thrower service. once done, one mechanic gets all this room for himself. It will be all enclosed, windows, heat and a shiny new single post lift for tractors. We even supply the tools. All you gotta do is show up and care about what you are doing each day. Work hard, real hard. We'll teach you the rest!! Learn a trade while getting paid for it!!
