This is who he is.
John, a resident at the Town of Colma Veterans Village, he has been away visiting family in . He returned for a few weeks, and now he is heading back permanently to be closer to them.

John was always there in the morning as the crew was being dispatched. A steady, watchful presence. He would check in, make sure everything was alright, and keep an eye out for Olga if she was working late. Quietly, consistently, he looked out for all of us.

Our team gathered to say goodbye and to thank him for the many years he spent watching over our daily comings and goings. For the friendly greetings as we headed out, and the smiles and handshakes when we returned.

Wishing our neighbor John all the best as he returns to Europe to be closer to his family. We will miss you, but we are so happy for you.
