It’s been a while since I’ve posted! Sonoma is a fantastic family friendly getaway! We loved Sonoma Train Town. Even though Ez was scared of all of the rides he still had a great time. And Santi went on the roller coaster 6 times! Also loved the Sonoma overlook trail and the very family friendly Larson’s family winery. They had animals and corn hole. And lovely wine of course. Also love that place because you can bring in your own food!

Spotlight on the new Tunnel Tops playground in the Presidio! Amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Great place to take visitors with young kids.

Played tourist today in SF for ez’s special day with mama. Saw a fun magic show on the pier and unfortunately spent $50 at the not so impressive aquarium at the bay. I’ll save up for for next time!

I swore I would never do resorts BUT changed my mind. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to stay at cabins in the Russian River, but every now and then….. here is why legoland is worth it and here are some tips if you decide to go:

Best for ages 5-10 IMO

Stay at the legoland hotel to get early access to the park (worth it no lines) and so you don’t have to worry about driving/parking

You need at least 2 full days to see/do everything in the park. I would even save a separate day just for the water park if that is your thing.

If you care about healthy snacks for your kids bring them with you.

The legoland gift shop does not mark up prices which is nice.

You could spend an entire day just hanging at the hotel (pool, playground, legos galore)

This place knows exactly what they are doing! The staff are friendly and helpful, everything felt easy, so many little touches like the dance music in the elevators or the hotel scavenger hunt went a long way!
