RideWise was thrilled to engage with Canal Walk residents and listen to their concerns regarding speeding and unsafe driving in the community! Canal Walk in Franklin is an active-living, 55+ community that offers residents mobility and the chance to stay in the same community as they continue to age. RideWise is currently collaborating with HOA Management, performing a speed and traffic safety study as requested by residents who serve on the Safety and Security Committee. Our speed sentry is posted on Canal Walk Boulevard, warning residents of their speeding after the main bend. RideWise employees are also performing traffic observations at six intersections both on and off the Boulevard, ensuring motorists and pedestrians alike practice safe driving and walking behaviors.
RideWise will also be hosting an educational presentation in the Canal Walk Clubhouse on October 14 from 10-11:30 A.M. and October 15 from 3-4:30 P.M. to educate residents about our traffic study, and re-iterate safe driving and walking practices in an interactive and engaging format! Residents, please attend and share your concerns!
