I present to you the winner of the 2022 Excellence Awards: Robert and Marilyn Pleiness Service Award - Duane Kilts!

For 41 years, Robert and Marylin dedicated their lives to ministry in the church and faithfully serving those in it. For all those years our grandparents gave up quite literally everything they had so that others might come first. They served in the most selfless and sacrificial way that often time meant they had less while others had more. When I think of service - these are the ones who come to mind. It is hard to fully comprehend the impact they have made in our community and those around them.

Duane just marked his 3rd year being a part of the Bolton Logistics team. Probably not to anyone’s surprise, Duane was my boss back at the bowling alley before I left to start Bolton Logistics. After a little convincing, Duane began his career at Bolton as the Regional Manager. As Regional Manager, Duane oversees all 3 of our locations across Iowa. His job is to ensure operation and employee excellence. And well, he does just that.

Have you ever been somewhere and experienced the “Disney Affect” - essentially asking yourself, “how did that even happen?” Duane here is that secret sauce. Duane selflessly fills the gaps in operations to make sure nothing misses a beat. Early mornings and late nights. He is always the first one to step in and lead his team by grinding right next to them to get the job done. He holds his team to the highest standard of excellence at all times. Duane sets the standard so that we might provide the best level of service in Iowa. There is nobody that works harder or serves more selflessly his team than Duane.
