Job Description: General Boat Repair Shop Worker
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to assist with general duties at our boat repair shop. This position involves a variety of tasks to help maintain, repair, and service boats of all types. Ideal candidates should be hands-on, mechanically inclined, and willing to work in both indoor and outdoor environments. This position starts as Part-Time and can lead into a Full-Time position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on outboard and inboard engines
• Assist with basic fiberglass and hull repairs
• Clean and prepare boats for service or delivery
• Help haul, launch, and move boats in and out of the shop
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Support technicians with tools, materials, and prep work
• Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment as needed
Qualifications:
• Basic tool knowledge is a plus
• Mechanical aptitude or previous experience with boats, engines, or similar equipment is preferred but not required
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Dependable, punctual, and a team player
• Valid driver's license is a plus
