​The Boss Tip: Keep the Shine, Save the Sealant

​The Problem: Many boaters use standard household dish soaps or heavy-duty degreasers for a quick wash down. While they cut through grime, they also strip away the expensive waxes and sealants protecting your gelcoat.

​The Fix: Always use a pH-neutral, marine-specific soap (preferably one infused with a boost of polymer or carnauba wax). Use a soft wash mitt and rinse thoroughly with fresh water after every outing. This lifts the salt and dirt effortlessly without degrading the protective barrier keeping your boat glossy.
