🚢 Cruise Review ☀
We recently took our family of five on a Carnival cruise, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised!
For being the oldest ship on Carnival’s most budget-friendly cruise line, I honestly wasn’t expecting much. But I was wrong! The ship was very clean, well-maintained, and nicely decorated.
Our cabin had two pull-down ceiling beds for the girls, a bed we pushed together for us, and they even added an extra twin bed for our youngest. It was tight, but we made it work. We also chose an ocean view, which was nice to have with the kids.
One of our favorite stops was Celebration Key, Carnival’s new island. We enjoyed the included food, endless pools, different areas for everyone, and the huge family side of the beach. The water was clear, and the girls snorkeled for a long time. I also bought the girls slide passes for $12 each, and they rode them endlessly without ever having to wait in line. The whole place felt so spacious, even with two ships there for part of the day.
In Nassau, we did the Sun Cay excursion with no add-ons. We wanted a nice beach to relax on, and we definitely got that! We did more snorkeling, enjoyed the over-the-water hammocks, and even got a glass-bottom boat ride as part of the excursion.
There was plenty of food and entertainment throughout the cruise. We had lots of options to keep everyone happy and fed. We also really enjoyed the Playlist Productions shows toward the end of the cruise.
Overall, this cruise was a great family experience and definitely exceeded my expectations. We had a lot of fun, made some great memories, and I’d absolutely consider doing it again!
