Thought I'd posted up pictures from Enfield Pageant of motoring .got early start picking up Steve and off round M25 to Enfield. Got there and they bacon eggs and sausages and sauce came out ,Trevor did the frying before we took off to the auto jumble and found a few bargains .good time and bumped into some old friends...the austin a90 was almost same as mine but had beige interior unlike my two tone green and beige....lovely fella owned it and we shared experiences.photos of mine didn't come out or I accidentally deleted them.....good times and change to hot weather ...

Day tripping ....to sarfend...or Southend on sea...
Every time I visit the homeland I visit the seaside as it has so many memories....it is the estuary of the Thames so kinda isn't really the seaside but I've always loved it as a kid in sun rain or winter....this time rode was out but coming in as we went down on the miss and took photos ,by the time we'd gone across the road to get a 99at the ice cream store and crossed back over to a bench where we were was under water and filling quickly lifting the boats off the mud and floating in water.....fantastic drive home thru Leigh on sea.westy got us home for some fish and chips...

Yesterday was a chance to get back to my roots in classic cars ,picked up Steve at 630 am to drive up in the westy to Enfield Pageant of motoring .,Saturday being first day of autojumble so we could pick thru and get some bargains..
Started with a fry off sausages and bacon topped with an egg....in a bap coffee and tea ....found a deal on a parasol just like the one we left at home ,brand new $20 which made the hot sun bearable if not nice with a lite breeze...here's a bit of what caught my eye,and no that's not my westy but a matching one as mi photo didn't come out...

As we continue our trip we rested yesterday as it was rainy .got some jobs done on the bungalow.
Checked out another train shop in basildon and got together with bruver, Steve although after some teething problems with his consul capri and so it got put back in garage as gear selector went bad .so we all rode in the 55 westy to Battlesbridge antique centre for eve car meet .lot of late model hot hatches for the younger crowd and some fifties Americana for older crowd... and some other less seen classics...

So having walked around the whole of Beaulie spring auto jumble and slept much better in our tents as the rain and cold ...

So having walked around the whole of Beaulie spring auto jumble and slept much better in our tents as the rain and cold was not as bad ,with a fry up of ham eggs and beans it was time to strike camp and head up to the Watercress line railway about an hour north .was better weather forecast and the 1955 austin westy was game ....good time and we parked in the festival parking and headed into the village and onto the trains.
Diesel traction first and then a change at Ropley for steam.4 stations in all and a very mellow way to wrap up our weekend bacon baps and sausages to fill our bellies . Around 400pm we caught our train back after a fantastic time warp back into pre and post was british railways.....westy fired up and we headed back home along m3 and m25 back to billericay .only issues were getting stuck around Heathrow in traffic jam and getting a little hot....
