Edgar Evins State Park Edgar Evins is a 6,500-acre recreational park located on beautiful Center Hill Lake. This park spans over 6000 acres around the shores of Center Hill Lake.

At this park you can view an abundance of wildlife including a few rare birds. Visitors can camp or stay in cabins at the park. The lake offers a marina and a restaurant, and the park also has a gift shop. More information on this park and many more can be found at the TN State Parks website.

Thanks to everyone has been coming to the programs that we have had this past week! You're watching the sunrise over Center Hill Lake as you make your way across the dam, feeling that crisp November air as you take on five miles surrounded by beautiful fall colors at Edgar Evins State Park.

We have a lot of fun, family friendly things to do this October here at Edgar Evins! We have a bunch of crafts, hikes, fall colors pontoon tours, and our annual Campground Halloween get together! Picture this: a crisp November morning, fall colors all around, and five miles of adventure ahead of you.

You're surrounded by fellow runners and walkers as you head across Center Hill Dam, take in those incredible views, and then dig a little deeper as you tackle the hills of Edgar Evins State Park.

Every climb gets you closer to that finish line, where a well-earned medal, post-race donuts, and a celebration with your fellow participants are waiting. Before we know it, race day will be here and these moments will become memories.

Can you believe that October is next week! We have so many fun programs for this fall season. These are the programs that we have for the first weekend in October, including the popular Paint Your Own TN State Park Shield. Spots are limited and reservations are required for our crafts to make sure we have enough supplies for everyone. With October right around the corner we have plenty of activities for the whole family from crafts, hikes, fall color pontoon tours, and many more. Seasonal Interpretive Ranger Joseph has put together some festive crafts for everyone to enjoy. Here is a preview of what they all look like. Some are paid crafts and some have age restrictions due to the complexity. For all crafts we ask that you please register so we can have the correct amount of supplies for everyone. Who says you have to run the Dam 5 Miler?

Walkers, this race is for you too! Grab your family, bring a friend, or come take on five miles just for yourself. Walking is a great way to get moving, spend time outdoors, challenge yourself, and enjoy everything the course has to offer - without worrying about your pace.

Run it. Walk it. Do a little of both. However you cross the finish line, five miles is five miles - and that medal is just as earned. Come walk the Dam with us this November!
