✂️ THE RIBBON IS CUT. THE GATEWAY IS OPEN.

With summer sunshine, community pride and a shared vision for greater mobility, we officially celebrated the grand opening of the SporTran Gateway Hub!

This milestone establishes a new gateway to jobs, education, healthcare, air travel and essential destinations throughout Shreveport-Bossier—while placing District F at the center of connection and progress!

Thank you to Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux, SHV Airport Director Larry Blackwell, Shreveport City Councilwoman Chair, Tabatha Taylor, District F City Councilman, James Green, city council members and elected city officials, Cochran Construction, Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, community partners and neighbors who joined us to open the doors to what’s next!

Tomorrow at 10am, we will proudly cut the ribbon on the SporTran Gateway Hub—opening a new doorway to greater access, stronger connections and more opportunities throughout Shreveport-Bossier!

Located near Shreveport Regional Airport, the Gateway Hub will help connect residents, workers and visitors to jobs, education, healthcare, shopping and the people and places that keep our community moving.

More than a transit stop, this is a neighborhood investment, a welcoming point of arrival and Your First Connection Forward!

Following our historic unveiling of SporTran EVOLVE and our first public demonstration rides, SporTran in partnership with BeepAVSolutions will represent Shreveport and the State of Louisiana at the U.S. Department of Transportation Roadway Safety Innovation Expo.

This prestigious moment will place a national spotlight on our commitment to safer transportation, responsible innovation, workforce development and mobility designed around PEOPLE.

We look forward to continuing local demonstration rides and more community-engagement opportunities very soon.

Thursday, August 27- The SporTran EVOLVE media tour kicked off at 6:00 a.m. with a live appearance on KSLA News 12, sharing how a $1 million U.S. Department of Transportation SMART Grant is helping bring Louisiana’s first autonomous public transit initiative to Shreveport.

Thank you to KSLA News 12 for helping us tell this groundbreaking story and to the USDOT Office of Research and Technology for continuing to amplify this milestone on the national stage.
