The exhibit at the Museum of the Big Horns .at.the.bighorns is one to see. I did the Scavenger Hunt and it took me an hour to find all 6 items.

I know I haven’t retained all the information that I took in, though I know people have been “fighting” for basic rights since before 1917. It’s hard to imagine life at that time.

Well worth the time to come down and check it out. So much history, and a lot of fun to test yourself (get a sticker which is better than the teachers red pen)…. Here through June 13, 2026.

Super fun event … the Sheridan High School hosted (yesterday and today/this morning) their 2nd Annual high school Nordic ski race up at Cutler.

This morning they start at 10 am. You park in the main lot near Black Mountain Road (you can’t miss it, there will be school busses and other private cars parked in it). There will be a Sheridan school bus shuttle that runs about every 15 minutes and then it’s about a 15 min walk into the races.
🐾

The vibe, though… so cool to see so many kids from around the state (Casper, Lander, Pinedale, Sheridan to name a few) come and participate ….

A true treat!

Good luck to all the participants and thanks to the volunteers…and Black Mountain Nordic for hosting and getting the trails in top condition!

Told my sister in December “no ice skating” but with one of these old lady things, I might be able to…. Never roller skated in my life but who knows … if I kept going I might just be able to!
