Although their new positions aren’t scheduled to take place til July 1, Mr. Mannie Stone and Mr. Nate Jebsen have already began meeting to share information and strategies to ensure a smooth transition.

On Thursday, we took a field trip to the Shelby County volunteer fire department and did training. We learned how quickly smoke can fill a bus and we watched the firefighters as they trained to evacuate crash victims from a bus. Chris Spaulding with Emergency Management was on site to give insight and discuss different scenarios

On Wednesday, our team had the opportunity to learn first aid techniques and CPR from Shelby County Public schools, finest nursing staff led by Mrs.Tracy Early.

Congratulations to Mrs. Katie Ogden our 2025/2026 Transportation Employee of the year!
Throughout this year, Katie has gone above and beyond in every aspect to ensure that students have been transported to and from school safely and efficiently and drivers have been covered for routes, midday, shuttles, you name it. Katie has jumped through hoops, painted parking lots and even taken out the trash. She’s gone above and beyond. This year would not have been as successful as it has been had it not been for her rising to the occasion in so many ways.

Tuesday, our team gathered at the garage for training. We heard from Chris Spaulding with Shelby County Emergency Services Emergency Management and Communications, Jamie Mezin with the ECE department, and Karri Logsdon with HR.
