📢 Seymour Transit Service Update

We want to apologize for the inconvenience some of our riders have experienced recently. Seymour Transit’s radios are currently not working properly, which has caused communication issues and some delays.

Our team is actively working to correct the problem as soon as possible. We know our riders depend on us, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while we get things back to normal.

💜 Thank you for riding with Seymour Transit and for bearing with us while we work through this issue. 🚌

Help us Celebrate!

🎉 HELP US CELEBRATE 175 YEARS OF SEYMOUR! 🎉

Seymour, Indiana, will celebrate its 175th anniversary in 2027, and we’re planning a year full of ways to celebrate our community! 💚💛

As part of the celebration, the City of Seymour plans to feature ONE event, festival or special happening EACH WEEK throughout 2027 — and we need your help!

📣 Have an event you think should be part of Seymour’s 175th celebration? Submit it for consideration!

A three-person team will evaluate each submission and select events to be included as part of the official Seymour 175th Anniversary celebration.

✨ Events selected will:
• Be recognized as an official Seymour 175th event
• Be marketed and promoted by the City of Seymour
• Receive the official Seymour 175th Anniversary logo for promotional materials
• Become part of the City’s advertised lineup of 175th anniversary events

Whether it’s a festival, community gathering, concert, historical program, celebration or something completely unique, we want to hear your ideas!

📅 52 weeks. 52 opportunities to celebrate Seymour.

Help us make 2027 a year to remember! 🎂🎉

It has been a very active week for Public Transit! We were able to attend the Airports Ribbon cutting ceremony, we were also featured in the 1st Annual Touch-A-Truck event held at the Jackson County Fair grounds in support of The Maverick Minute Foundation AND we were able to take a very important person to us, Floyd Amburgey to the Fair. Thanks to everyone who has made transit part of their life and helping us to continue to make this thing roll..

Wednesday is kiddie day at the Jackson County Fair - Brownstown, in from 1pm-5pm. But make sure to head out early! From 12pm-2pm is the coolest Touch-A-Truck you will EVER see! Kiddos will be able to see the biggest variety of trucks and equipment and get a lesson on how blind spots work. A group from the 2026 Leadership Jackson County and YoJack class has partnered with the Maverick Minute Foundation to create this fun, educational, and interactive event.

The Maverick Minute Foundation was created after a heartbreaking farm accident took the lives of 4-year-old Maverick Flinn and his great-grandmother, Nancy Fox. Their family is now turning that tragedy into a national movement with a simple but powerful reminder for farm families everywhere:
Pause. Inspect. Protect.

Be sure to share this post and tag anyone with kiddos that want to see some really cool trucks and equipment!
