When did we become Seward's part-time tire shop? (Not really.. read on)
Honestly, we're not sure.
It started reasonably enough - we needed a few tires for the fleet, got them in our regular run & someone saw.
A contractor needed a set of heavy-duty tires for a work truck, didn't have time to go grab them. Freight's freight, that one made sense.
Then a guy called about tires for his wittle Subaru. (great cars, but lets be real... its fun to say. You said it in your head & it made you smile but we won't tell anyone 😉)
Then one of our neighbors.
Then somebody's mother-in-law, who wanted four all-seasons and had zero interest in making the drive to Anchorage to get them.
We said sure.
Here's the part that actually surprised us.
Costco has tires. The wholesale shops in Anchorage have tires. What nobody around here has is a spare day to go get them.
So now tires ride along the same way groceries and freight do - picked up, driven down, dropped at your door or favorite tire shop.
Fairly often this time of year..
Work trucks. Family SUVs. One guy's project truck that hasn't moved an inch since May, but sure enough, it's getting new tires before it does.
We're not a tire shop. We just already make the drive, and it turns out a lot of people needed someone willing to grab four tires on the way back.
Termination dust doesn't wait for anyone to get around to ordering tires.
Might be worth a look at what's on your rig before we actually see "the dust".
Tag someone still riding on nearly bald summer tires. We deliver.
