A great couple days full of knowledge and leadership! This event showcased young people showing up for their communities. So happy Natalie and Red Eye Rides got some recognition.

At 0930 this morning, CLES responded to an electric vehicle charging station fire with extension to a nearby structure. There were no occupants in the building and although the fire is out at this time, units are remaining on scene to monitor. Alaska State Fire Marshall Investigator is on scene. Hazmat team is enroute out of an abundance of caution to hopefully give our air quality a clean bill of health.

Many more thank yous to come, but we wanted to brief the community and share that the DEC and EPA are supporting us with resources to navigate this incident.

The blasting activities will occur 2 to 3 times a week throughout this summer, from 6 am to 7 pm, Monday through Saturday.
